Visit to London  by Alan Longmuir

Hello Everybody
I know Eileen has been keeping you informed about what is happening with us but I thought I would post about
my visit to London with Woodz to record an interview for a documentary about our missing money from our Bay City Roller days.
The documentary is being screened sometime in April on British Television on Channel 4 by Carlton T.V. I will advise you of the date

once it has been confirmed to me.
It seemed very positive but the Media has a reputation for clever editing and making out something that wasn't meant in that context.

But on saying that the people whom we worked with this time seemed very nice and genuine.
It was like being back in the Roller Days where we were driven everywhere and taken to lunch at the Hilton in London.

Woodz, Mark St.John and I were interviewed for about 2 hours each so hopefully they will do a positive documentary for us putting our
side of things across and maybe do a bit of good.
The best part of it for me was meeting with Woodz again. He is one of life's gentlemen and a very great friend.

Although we have always kept in touch by telephone it was brilliant to see him again and catch up on old times, it's been too long and his humour is brilliant.

He is doing really well for himself and working at a Glasgow College three times a week lecturing in Music as well as his new recording studio work.
Les also got in touch when I was in London and regulary phones to touch base. It is nice to know we
can all have civilised conversations again and be friends like we were in the early days.

That's what I miss most.
Thank you all for your continuing support after all these years. Nice to know we are all growing old together.
With Best Regards

Alan

Hi All
Just wanted to wish Jude a safe and pleasant journey home again (with no delays if possible). It was
lovely to meet you and you are as nice in person as you come across with your postings on the board. It
was lovely to talk with you again today before you leave our shores and I can't believe the rain stayedaway (almost) for your visit to Scotland.

Perhaps next time you can see a bit more of Stirling on your travels.
Nothing much else to report this week except for our lovely visit from Lin and Jude on Monday evening.
Very nice to see you again Lin it made up for missing your party.
Alfie was at the vets on Wednesday to be 'fixed' and identity chipped. I was a total wreck, especially as I had to wait a extra 2 hours before

I was able to pick him up again. My backside was making buttons for the whole time he was at the vets but he seems to be
fine.. a couple of stone lighter (OK bad joke, poor taste) but fine all the same. I let him out on Monday for the first time on his own and Nik and

I watched him from the bedroom window. He had every cat in the neighbourhood terrorised. 2 minutes after he was let out I saw him disappearing

over a six foot fence with 2 cats three times his size running for their lives infront of him.

Rory his vet nicknamed him 'Alfie Longmuir - Born to Battle' but I'm afraid it was very short lived.

I let him out today for the first since his 'op' and he was out a total of about 3 minutes before he wanted back to his Mammy.

I've turned him into a total wimp. Hopefully he'll get a bit more 'gallus' as time goes on.
Need to sign off now ladies as 'The Bold Alan' wants to fill you all in on his London Adventure. He is
getting better at working the computer but I think I'll get a couple of hours sleep in before he wakes me to check what he's written.
Hope this finds you all in good health or in Ines and Jess's case better health.
Be happy and my best regards to you all.

Eileen.
